Five candidates emerge from Zik Hall, as Students’ Union election approaches

Five students of Zik hall have emerged as candidates, as they throw their hats into the ring for the forthcoming the University of Ibadan, Students’ Union elections that will hold on the 9th of October 2021.

The deadline for the submission of form came to a close on Friday 24th of September 2021, as aspirants who are believed to be vying for posts in Students’ Union, are all expected to have beaten the deadline to stand a chance of participating in the electoral process.

The aspirants are; Bamidele Taiwo Paul aka BAM T, going for the post of General Secretary, Musliudeen Toheeb Akanbi aka DEAN, going for the post of Treasurer, Arinola David Addo aka ADDO ORIGINAL, going for the post of Assistant General Secretary, Olawale Joshua Babatunde aka OJB,  going for the post of Sports Secretary and Hon. Olaniyan Mathews, popularly known as Jesugbemi who might be going on opposed for the post of House Secretary due to the stepping down of his opponent.

Zik hall has been noted for her penchant for producing politically acclaimed students, as it must be remembered that the past president, the incumbent president and General Secretary of the SU are residents of Zik hall. So, it is of no surprise that Zik hall will have more students vying for posts in the coming elections, as the hall is known for its political vibrancy.
