Poem: For Social Justice

Like wrinkled dress, they squeeze our faces
With thorns and fire, they seal our throats
Left in a forlorn to sing in agony
As they beam and dance to our injury,

Our wings are clipped, our feet are gripped
Yet, they placed meals at the horn of the sky,
a place of no access for you and I,
   Let us breathe!

hovering over plates of food and wine
Chatting to win the race, as they dine
   Leaving behind people and pupil,
To be overwhelmed with brutal ripple,

We call on every eagle from the horizon
   Descend, with your sharpened beak,
to chase them to the forest zone,
where their ruins will have no break

    Come closer you and I
Let's break the voice of the bad ones,
Let's untie our wings, loose our shoes
And let's find unblemished Man, a king        for U and I.
