The Students' Representative Council of the University of Ibadan has released the resolutions of its first ordinary sitting which held on Saturday, 10th of May, 2025.
One of the resolutions of the sitting was to call for of a Student Congress on May 17, 2025, as a platform for the presentation and articulation of students' complaints and proposals to the university administration. According to the Council, the Congress will be a platform for airing student voices and seeking constructive solutions to problems facing the campus.
Furthermore, the Council ratified the budget report of the Finance Committee, which provided the sum of ₦4,600,460.00 to fund the expenses of the next Freshers' Week Welcome Program.
During the sitting, Honourable Sulaimon Afeez Olaposi was also sworn in as a co-opted member of the 12th Assembly.
