On Wednesday, 28th of May, 2025, in a meeting held at the Zik Junior Common Room, the 7th Assembly of the Zik Hall Legislative Council approved the total sum of ₦207,432.00 as its annual legislative budget, a cut down from the ₦212,592 originally presented.
The total sum of the money is said to have been the culmination of refreshments for the 14 honourables, publicity, airtime and data, and visitation to the Oyo State House of Assembly, and the cutdown was from the sum of data for the clerk, which was reduced from #10,000 to #5,000 with miscellaneous adjustments.
The budget of some members of the executive council was also approved. The Hall Chairman, Mr Sotomi Daniel, presented a budget of #886,000, which included #800,000 for the production of 160 shirts, #5,000 for airtime, #10,000 for the council of Hall chairpersons' dues, #10,000 for transportation, #30,000 for 3 plaques, #28,000 for refreshments during the council of Hall chairpersons' meeting that would be held in Zik, and #3,000 for miscellaneous expenses. The presented budget of #886,000 was approved without changes.
The vice hall chairman presented a budget of #79,800, including #20,000 for ropes, #40,000 for fixing drums, #10,000 for purchasing drumsticks, #3,000 for data, #3,000 for airtime, and #3,800 as miscellaneous. A budget that was cut down to #77,000.
The office of the social minister presented a budget of #115,000, a budget that includes #37,000 for DSTV subscription, #15,000 for fuel, #16,000 for 2 extension boxes, #31,500 for repair of DSTV, #5,000 for a litre of generator oil, and #7,000 for miscellaneous and transportation.
Other budgets approved were 88,410 for the health minister after an initial presentation of 92,610 and 95,000 for the defence neonates minister as presented.
