The freshmen team of Nnamdi Azikwe hall has defeated Lord Tedder Hall freshmen to qualify for the finals of the inter hall freshers cup competition.
The highly contested semifinal match which started around 5:45 pm on Tuesday, 13th of May 2025 had both teams trying and constantly thwarting each others attempts to take the lead. Both teams had few chances which they were unable to convert.
Following the lack of breakthrough in regular time, the match went straight to penalties.
Both teams played ten penalties each, but Zik Hall freshmen managed to emerge as victors. This victory makes it three wins in three matches in the Freshers Cup for the Zik Freshmen.
They are now set to face Mellanby Hall in the final.
