The Muffin Man
The University of Ibadan Students Union has on Tuesday, 10th of June, 2025 sent out a security alert to the student populace of the University.
"We have received credible reports of individuals impersonating student entrepreneurs, university staff and house agents. These fraudsters are reaching out under the guise of offering assistance to clear extra years, secure accommodation or to offer products and/or services; demanding payment in return for services they cannot and do not intend to provide," the statement read in part.
The Union then reiterated that neither the school nor the student union will solicit for money for course clearance or fee payment stating that several perpetrators of these scams have been apprehended.
The statement then enjoined the students to be vigilant and exercise extreme caution when dealing with strangers.
