I'm lost like a toddler on the battlefield,
Restless like a struggling chick on eagle's feet,
as I try to sieve democracy from autocracy
Or maybe, monocracy.
No! they only wield power for fame and name
Blind to the blind, dumb and lame,
they are not leaders, they are raiders
Or was it because they were not with axe or gunpowders?
Is there still a democracy?
In a town ,though with a million of candles,
yet light fades out?
In a village where Niger flourishes,
yet drought 'n' famine kills?
Or where masses voice are buried
While theirs echoes beyond the town's boundary,
Tell me it's a democracy!
As their manifestoes, a simile of fallacy!
Democracy, beyond its appearance on nation's calendar!
it is a speech, that only good service could render,
Democracy day beyonds a public holiday,
A good life, that young and old crave for all day.
