Two UI students, Ayodele Aduwo and Mide Gbadegeshin have once again been invited to appear before the student disciplinary committee of the school for alleged jointly committed offences during the inauguration ceremony for the 2023/2024 Student Union executives.
The trio of Aduwo Ayodele, Mide Gbadegeshin and Linus Nice were escorted out of Trenchard hall and handed over to security operatives for protesting during the inauguration of Bolaji Aweda-led Team Amelioration executives. Since then, all three of them have appeared before the SDC. However, as of press time, only the duo of Aduwo and Gbadegeshin have been invited to appear once more before the committee.
The invite signed by Deputy Registrar, S.O. Oyewunmi and received by both Aduwo and Gbadegeshin stated that both are to appear before the committee on Monday, 30th June, 2025 at the Conference Room, Student Affairs Division.
"This meeting is a continuation of the investigations on the allegation of misconduct bothering on insubordination/unruly behaviour, to witt obstruction of the swearing-in ceremony for the 2023/2024 Newly Elected Executives of The Students Union, by you and two other students," read the invite.
"Please note that you must be properly dressed when you appear before Student Disciplinary Committee. Failure to honour this invitation may earn you disciplinary action."
