The scheduled congress of the University of Ibadan Students Union has been postponed till further notice.
The president of the UI'SU Covenant, Odedele, in the company of the PRO of the union, Adekambi Ezekiel, the general secretary, Olowu Victor, and the speaker of the UI'SRC, Shoge Quadri, announced this around 12:30pm at the SUB foyer.
Covenant told the students present that since it's been over two hours and counting and that they've been only able to gather merely 200 students (three hundred shy of the 500 needed to reach a quorum), there is no choice but to postpone the congress.
He further stated that the congress will be called as soon as it's "practicable" and that the next one will be properly planned.
