UCJUI has on Friday, 20th of June, 2025 released information about the Global Campus Journalism Summit as well as the Francis Egbokare inter-press organisation debate.
The information which was released in a press conference, announced the date and shared vital information about the major events which will be taking place in the organisation in the first semester of the 2025 academic session.
At the conference, it was announced that the Global Campus Journalists Summit and the Francis Egbokare Inter-Press Organisation will be taking place on the 5th of July.
The theme for the event is "From campus to newsroom: Sustaining truth, freedom and innovation in the age of AI" and it is scheduled to hold at the KAAF auditorium.
It was also announced that registration for the inter-organisation debate commences on the 20th of June and ends on Sunday, the 23rd of June.
It is expected that each press organisation should have two representatives, and the debate will be in the British parliament style in which the top four best organisations will make it to the finals, in which the winner will go home with the grand prize of 100 thousand naira.
It's also expected that there will be a training for the participants of the debate to familiarise them with the dos and don'ts of the debate.
