Renovation and repair works have begun in the Alumni Block as well as parts of C Block.
Zik Press can confirm that plumbers have been spotted at C Block since at least last week, when the hall chairman, Sotomi Daniel, confirmed that they came to check the extent of repair the place needs.
Eyewitnesses confirm seeing the plumbers working to unclog and drain some of the pipes in C block earlier this week.
Today, Wednesday, 28th of May, 2025, new toilet facilities were spotted being installed for occupants of the alumni block. Zik Press correspondent confirmed that pipes had been laid outside the block to link the newly installed toilet facilities to the sewage system outside.
In an interview with Zik Press, Sotomi Daniel confirmed that work is scheduled to commence on other parts of the hall. In his words, "They started with C block because that's where the most work is. Very soon they will move to B block and then A block."
