A Block Drainages Cleared After Excos’ Letter to Hall Management Council
By Saint
It is no news that Zik hall’s Executive Council, dubbed ‘Team Collectivity’, is invested in improving the aesthetics of the hall. It would be recalled that ZHPO reported early November that the Executive Council embarked on a beautification project which involved the planting of beautifying plants around Zik hall.
Similarly, the Council has demonstrated its interest in maintaining quality hygiene in the hall through the tank-washing exercises, as a way of securing the potability of water in the hall. This had been notably spearheaded by the office of the Health Minister and widely publicised by the Information & Propaganda Minister.
However, the Executive Council took a step further on health security through the health Minister, Mr. Osuji Johnpaul. On the 5th of December, the Council addressed a letter to the Hall Management Council, drawing its attention to the issue of blocked drainages within the hall. The letter particularly cited “the drainage opposite A Block and adjacent to the drinkable water tanks opposite the block.”
As evidence of the immediate steps taken on the issue, the Executive Council took cognizance of and appreciated the Hall Management Council’s undelayed response, as the drainages were cleared soon after the Executive Council’s letter. Presently, the blocked drainages adjacent to the drinkable water tanks in front of A block have been cleared.
It is hoped that this trend is not only sustained but that other pro-hygiene practices are taken across the four blocks of Zik hall.
